Civilisation

I saw this barn far away, through the trees. I didn't realize I'd also caught this really enormous leaf over the barn. One can only image how rough raking leaves must be in this area.

This road goes for about a mile at about a 9%-12% grade, leading between the paved road and the house we stayed in. We had no trouble with the drive, but the lesbian couple had to have George (one of the owners) pull them up the grade. It might be a little harrowing for someone not accustomed to the mountains, since it's a dramatic view, but it's well worth the drive.
