Maia, our fearless leader. I went to pet her, but she slunk away from me, as if she thought I was to hurt her. But when Melvin and I took off to walk along one of the trails, she picked herself up and followed along, right at our heels. Norma, one of the owners, said Maia was always like this.

Just before we left, we took one last look at the stunning view. Melvin took a nice position on these rocks, attracting the attention of Maia and Misha. Perhaps they thought we were going on another walk.

We saw this rock, and I thought it would make a nice place to take a picture. Not liking grip-n-grins, though, I asked Melvin to look "out there," which he kindly did.
